What does the Responsible Serving course teach me?
The Responsible Serving of Alcohol course teaches you how to serve alcohol responsibly. Topics in this course include:

  • How to spot a fake ID
  • How to tell when a customer is intoxicated
  • How to refuse, stop or slow alcohol service
  • The legal responsibilities of a server as well as your state's laws.

and much more.

What are the benefits of taking a course like this?
The Responsible Serving course is required to serve alcohol in some states. Some bars or restaurants may also require that you take a course that deals with responsible serving in order to lower the bar or restaurant's insurance rates. Having this certification will also help you to stand out from other applicants when you apply for a position.

Is this the same certificate I would get from an in-classroom course?
Yes, our course will give you a nationally recognized certification that is comparable to the certification you would receive at a physical school. The benefit of taking the course online is that you can work through the course on your own time and at your own pace.

How do I take the Quizzes/Exams?
The quizzes and exams are all computerized and you can take them from your computer. The software will grade the quizzes for you and show you your results instantly on the screen. Your scores are also recorded in an online database.

What if I fail the test, do I have to pay to take the course again?
No, you can retake the test as many times as you need to to pass the course. There are no additional fees for retaking the exams.

How long do I have access to the course material?
You will have access to the course material for 30 days after you complete the course and generate your certificate or 1 year after your initial login. In Alabama, you can access the course material for 2 days after your initial login.
If you log in to your account more than 30 days (or more than 2 days in AL) after completing the course and generating your certificate, you will be able to print a copy of your certificate, but will no longer be able to access the course material.

If one of the courses included in the Master Bartender package is not approved in my state, can I get a refund for the course that is not approved?
The Master's package is a package deal, if the Responsible Serving of food or alcohol is not approved in your state, there is not a prorated refund. The Master's package does have our full refund policy (within 30 days).

Can I re-use a token for a new employee if the employee I assigned it to did not complete the course?
You may receive a credit if the employee has not logged in to the course. Once the student has logged in, the token is used and you cannot receive a credit. The process is automated, if you delete a token, a new token will be provided in your account if the employee has not logged in.
